KAI, a Japanese cutlery company established in 1908, created this beautiful collection of
kitchen knives in collaboration with Tim Mälzer.
Tim Mälzer is a renowned chef from Germany whose undeniable talent has been
showcased on television and in several cooking books he has published.
KAI's extraordinary craftsmanship of Japanese blades and Mr. Mälzer's
belief, "A great knife not only makes cooking easier but also creates great dishes," are embodied
in this collection.
"Santoku", three virtues in English means it can be used on meat, fish and vegetables.
This knife caters to a professional chef's variety of needs and it is up to the task required of daily cooking.
The sharp edge is perfect for sensitive tasks.
The blade features a beautiful pattern of Damascus and a hammered finish on the surface
called Tsuchime, which ensures sharpness and reduces drag when cutting.
What distinguishes this knife from others is its high-carbon Damascus clad blade.
Formed by layering different types of alloys, the knife possesses exceptional sharpness.
The oval, Pakkawood handle offers a nice and comfortable grip.
*The knife will come in a paulownia wood box with a Japanese manual.
