"Uroko", a gorgeous champagne glass with a Kissho pattern.
From the Hakukomon series of Hakuichi, this champagne glass
features one of the Kissho patterns called "Uroko", which is illustrated snake scale.
Kissho patterns, said to fend off bad luck and accidents,
have been interwoven with our lives for centuries.
The uroko pattern means shedding off bad luck and the simple continuous triangles
purports to show snakes shed their skins.
In kimono, kissho patterns including the uroko are sewn on the inconspicuous places
of nagajuban, which is an underrobe for kimono, or haneri, a decorative collar
worn over the nagajuban's collar.
It'll be perfect for parties and also make a great gift for champagne lovers.
